Human Rights Shabbat Evening Service

Friday, 9 December, 2022 15 Kislev 5783

6:30 PM - 7:00 PM

On Human Rights Shabbat, we celebrate the deep intersections between Judaism and human rights. Since 2008, nearly 500 communities have joined this celebration.

Human Rights Shabbat is observed on the Shabbat closest to International Human Rights Day, 10th December, which is the anniversary of the UN’s adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

This year for our Human Rights Shabbat, we are honoured to welcome Caroline Cassin who will be speaking during our Shabbat Service about the great work of René Cassin: The Jewish Voice for Human Rights.

Please do join us for this special Shabbat - no need to book.

If you want to send a question on Human Rights and Judaism beforehand, so we can discuss together, please send them directly to Caroline, or to our Events Team. It is an interactive service!
