Zoom Over to our Passover Seder

Wednesday, 8 April, 2020 14 Nisan 5780

7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

We're delighted to still be holding our communal seder this year, even if it looks extra different from other nights! Rabbi Thomas and Yoav Oved invite you into their homes for a First Night Communal Seder that will Zoom by! The Seder itself will start at 7:00pm, please do log in at 6:50pm for a chance to get to say hi to other attendees. We will be running the Seder up until the meal begins (around 8pm) at which point you will have the option to dine with other guests in a separate Zoom, or continue at home (let us know below).

Register below ASAP to sign up for our Seder and we'll send through the meeting link, along with ways you'll be able to be involved on the night - whether it's with a Mitzvah, sharing something that means 'Freedom' to you, or singing along to your favourite Pesach Songs. Please do let us know how many people will be attending from your Zoom - however, please log in as one account - there is a limit on how many accounts can be logged into the Zoom Chat, and so we would love to maximise the amount of people who can attend.

One tradition of our Westminster Seder that we continue is our Freedom Plate. For the last few years now we have had this Freedom Plate where a few guests have brought objects that symbolise Freedom for them. It has been a lovely way to engage with the ideas of liberty beyond the words of the Haggadah and we encourage you to bring something to the Zoom that represents Freedom for you so we can discuss. As we are at a time where we are exploring what freedoms are improtant to us, and what freedoms we have possibly lost, this year the Freedom Plate will be even more meaningful. Please do let us know below if you would be bringing an item to the chat!

If you have any questions about the evening, please don't hesitate to get in touch by emailing

Sorry, Registration has ended.
