Four Ways to Make a Difference

On Pesach we have the Four Questions, the Four Children, and this year Westminster presents: Four Ways to Make a Difference. When we discuss Pesach, we often think of the need to stop oppression, to be free to serve and to make the world a better place. As such, we wanted to highlight four simple ways members can make a difference this Pesach - and beyond!

Donate your Chametz

As we get ready for Pesach and clean the house to remove all Chametz, why not take the opportunity to donate it (and other items) to a local food bank?
Alternatively you may wish to support the work of City Harvest London who work tirelessly to support thousands of Londoners in need. Find out more here.

Themed Seder

If you're holding your own Seder this year, why not bring additional questions and viewpoints to the night. You could explore Eco-Friendly Pesach Ideas; Create a Sustainable Seder; Be a Vegan for Pesach or use a Social Justice Haggadah.

We'll also be holding a Social Justice track on Second Night - find out more here.

Reach out to someone

For many years the Pesach Seder has been a time that we open our doors and invite guests in to fulfil the Mitzvah of hearing the Pesach Story.

Though we cannot do that this year, we can still embody the tradition of reaching out. Whether it's a neighbour you can run a Pesach Shop for, a friend you can reconnect with, or making a new friend at our Pesach Picnic Partners - reach out and brighten someone's day.

Donate Clothes

Whilst you're cleaning the house for Chametz, you may even go a step further and do a full spring clean! Well, if you start to work your way through your wardrobe, why not donate some of your clothes (and more) to TRAID who will resume collections from 12th April.

Alternatively, many charities accept clothes donations and you can organise your own collection for some of them through 'I Collect Clothes'.
