Your Moderator:

Gavin Stollar OBE: Gavin is the Honorary (Lay) Chair of the Liberal Democrat Friends of Israel and has dedicated over 25 years to advocating for Israel and UK Jewish Community. He has supported and advised each Liberal Democrat leader, since Rt Hon. Charles Kennedy MP steering Party policy on Jewish domestic issues and international affairs as they relate to Israel/Palestine.

Gavin's input was instrumental in the Liberal Democrat Party's adoption of the IHRA working definition of antisemitism, ahead of all other UK political parties. He created the formal link between his party and Yesh Atid, the party of former Israeli Prime Minister, now Leader of the Opposition, Yair Lapid.

Gavin has regularly led political delegations to the Middle East, bringing the Party's parliamentarians, advisers and candidates to policy makers, government ministers, cultural and educational places both in Israel and the West Bank, most recently taking current Liberal Democrat Leader, Rt Hon. Sir Ed Davey MP to the Gaza border following the 7th October attacks.

A keen footballer in his youth, Gavin managed the Maccabi GB mens' open football team that won the gold medal for Great Britain in 2008, and he is a member of Western Marble Arch Synagogue with his wife and family. Professionally, Gavin is a senior partner at global advisory firm, CT Group.
