Venue Hire
Kent House, home of Westminster Synagogue, is a splendid Victorian town house built in the late 1800s, and rivals many venues in the immediate vicinity.
Situated in Knightsbridge, in the heart of London, Kent House offers an excellent space for events of every kind. If you are hosting a party or simchah, a seminar or conference through your work, or if you’d like to host a fundraising concert or event for your favourite charity, this historic house is a wonderful choice.
Following a major refurbishment over a five year period, the House offers reception rooms over two floors, all with high ceilings and windows with character, and facilities to meet to accommodate all your event requirements. On the ground floor, there are three connecting reception rooms which can accommodate receptions for up to 150 people, and sit down dinners for 60. The first floor Sanctuary converts beautifully into a formal, inter-connected room, and can accommodate stand up receptions for 250 people and dinner dances for 150. Its red carpetted staircase is a dream for any bride.
Conveniently located just a five minute walk from Knightsbridge underground, Kent House is easily accessibly by public transport or car. Whilst there is no car parking on Rutland Gardens, the venue is well served by local parking in Rutland Gate, Hyde Park and local streets. Parking is free after 6.30pm, on Saturday afternoons, and all day Sunday.
Kent House offers a varied list of authorised caterers and contractors, and all bigger events are managed by award-winning Evolve Events, on behalf of Westminster Synagogue. It is a secure environment, and offers disabled facilities and a hearing loop.
Members may rent rooms at special member rates for private family celebrations, including special birthdays, anniversaries, baby blessings, bar/bat mitzvah parties, and wedding or marriage blessings. To view our current wedding brochure, click here.
Charities are also invited to use Kent House for their fund-raising dinners and receptions at special member rates. Several meeting rooms for meetings, lectures and seminars are available.
