"I appreciate the welcoming team for being hospitable to me as it was my first time and didn't know what to expect, and their friendliness made me feel at ease." Our aim is for all members and visitors alike to feel welcome and at ease in our building, no matter their age, nationality or reason for coming to us. It can often be daunting entering a building that you have never been to before (or don’t attend often), so we invite people to volunteer for this role and not to be shy in engaging with all who come through our doors for our High Holy Days.
Welcomers will be allocated a slot and location in the building to welcome members and visitors to the building, answer questions and sometimes escort to relevant locations. We've been so touched by the amount of members who have already volunteered for this role during our Shabbat services and events, ensuring the first thing visitors and members see as they enter the building are warm, welcoming faces. If you are able to volunteer, please do let us know what time/dates you are free by using the form below, and we'll get in touch to confirm your slot. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to be in touch.
