Electoorish, by Gina Soden

Western Wall, Jerusalem by Nicholas Gentilli

We are delighted with the success of our new initiative of bringing art into Kent House, which began with the Contemporary Jewish Art Exhibition, ‘Interconnectivity’, held in October 2022. We are excited to now bring a new exhibition into our building for 2023 - 'Uncovered', Photographs by Gina Soden and Nicholas Gentilli, curated by our member Orit Schreiber, an established Art Curator & Consultant.

Both known mainly as architectural fine art photographers, Gina Soden is a fearless explorer who uncovers a variety of derelict buildings, gardens and spaces, some known, some undisclosed. Nicholas Gentilli, an intrepid traveller, has an eye for the poignant and is equally fascinated by places and spaces. On his recent trip to Israel, he captured images in a manner that again elevate them above the ordinary.

Both photographers share with us a variety of places that have long and often meaningful histories, some even have a mythical status but may have become forgotten or neglected. These images help to preserve them.

Viewing Times

Members of Westminster Synagogue are invited to view the exhibition during normal building opening times Tuesday 24th January - Thursday 2nd March. In addition, members and non-members are invited to book an appointment with Orit Schreiber, the curator, should you wish to arrange a personal tour.

We will be holding a Private View Drinks Evening on Tuesday, 31st January, from 6:00-8:00pm with both artists present. Should you wish to add your name to the guest list, please click here.
