Westminster Synagogue invites you to our inaugural WCLS fund series, a cross-denominational learning series on clothing, boundaries, and edges.
Tuesdays 14th, 21st & 28th May from 6:30-9:00pm
(Please note we are no longer offering a zoom option for the whole series)
A light dinner will be served from 6:30-7:30pm. Join us for some learning over dinner with special guest educators including
- "Tzitzit and people on the fringes of Jewish life" with Rabbi Lara Haft Yom-Tov (14 May)
- "Is this Naomi?": Wanderings at the Margins of Identity and Place with Rabbi Dr Deborah Kahn-Harris (21 May)
- Taking the Lear from Rizpah: Our Most Marginal Prophetess with Rabbi Robyn Ashworth-Steen (28 May)

- Economic Fringes: The history of Jewish women's spinning through halakhic literature with Lilinaz Evans (online)
- Fringe Benefits: The Story of the Harlot and the Tzitzit: a study of Talmud Bavli, Menahot 44a with Rabbi Mark Solomon
- Of sea and of sky: the mystical significance of t'khelet in finding belonging to place with Yael Roberts
8:30pm - Closing and keynote presentation with special guest educators including
- How should we put on our shoes? Grappling with the authority of our legal tradition with Rabbi Josh Levy (14 May)
- A history of Lily Montagu with Rabbi Rachel Montagu (21 May)
- Edgy: A typology of Judaism as liminal, from clothing to gates and ports with Rabbi Jeremy Gordon (28 May)
