Since joining Westminster Synagogue in 2013, Jon has played a central role in fostering connection and engagement within the community. He oversees the community calendar, ensuring members have spaces to connect to their Judaism through meaningful services, educational opportunities, and vibrant social and cultural events. Collaborating closely with key teams - including Membership, Welcome, Next Dor, Symposium, and Oy Vey We’re Gay - Jon helps create a welcoming environment that feels like home for all members.

In recent years, Jon has enjoyed worked with members to establish the Oy Vey and Next Dor groups, offering new spaces for diverse demographics to connect within the community. He has also helped develop the membership process, ensuring every new member feels supported and embraced. Beyond programming, Jon supports the Synagogue staff in enhancing internal processes, fostering greater efficiency and effectiveness in their work, and helping the community grow and thrive. 

Jon finds daily inspiration in the warm, dedicated members who step into roles and volunteer to enrich the community. Seeing their passion for connecting with Judaism and one another brings him immense joy. Looking ahead, he is excited to see even more members take on roles that inspire them, contributing to the continued vibrancy and growth of Westminster Synagogue.

Fun Facts about Jon:
Jon loves Musical Theatre and performs in amateur shows in his time off, and reads new comics every Wednesday. Hailing from Southend-on-Sea, he lived in Paris for three years when he was at university over there
