Welcome to our Help Teacher's Programme!

This project is designed to support, train, and mentor teenage and young adult help teachers, helping them develop their skills and confidence while assisting in our educational programmes. The framework is divided into three progressive groups, based on age, experience, and level of responsibility. Sessions will be mainly facilitated by Laura Wohlwend, and created, supervised, and developed by Daniela and Laura.

The sessions will take place on teaching times on Saturdays (term time) from 9.30am-1:00pm. 

During the programme you will:

• work directly with kids 
• see how classes are run 
• build confidence speaking to groups and working in a team 
• get some training and mentoring 
• help make Or Shabbat feel warm and welcoming 

The first year is on a volunteer basis, and if they enjoy it, they might move on to a paid role afterwards. If your child is doing their Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, they can count this as the volunteering section too.
