Ben joined the synagogue in October 2023, where he leads on the provision of emotional, practical and spiritual support for members. His primary responsibilities are to manage the welfare needs of members, to signpost when more support is required, as well as to build and supervise a team of volunteers to carry out this important work.
Alongside working at the synagogue, Ben is finishing his Masters in Psychology. He was previously employed as a senior mental health worker for Jami.
Ben says, “Westminster Synagogue’s culture of volunteering and social engagement is an inspiration, and it is a privilege to build on the wellbeing provision that members and previous staff have worked so hard to cultivate.”
