Westminster Synagogue is proud to welcome school groups and other visitors for educational visits that bring the Jewish faith and culture to life. Our small team of knowledgeable volunteers offers engaging and age-appropriate sessions tailored to the needs and interests of each group.

We host children and young people of all ages — from Key Stage 1 through to sixth form — as well as adult learners, interfaith groups, Scouts, university students, and more. Whether you are exploring a place of worship or learning about Jewish festivals, customs, and traditions, a visit to our synagogue offers a meaningful and memorable experience.

Each visit typically includes:

  • A guided tour of the synagogue and its key features
  • A close look at the Ark, Torah scrolls, and prayer books
  • Opportunities for interactive learning, including Q&A and age-suitable activities
  • An optional visit to our unique Czech Memorial Scrolls Museum, offering insight into Jewish heritage, resilience, and remembrance

We believe that education plays a vital role in building understanding between communities. By opening our doors to schools and visitors, we hope to foster curiosity, compassion, and mutual respect.

“Anne led a fantastic visit for my Year 2 class. She was extremely welcoming on arrival and was brilliant with how she spoke to and interacted with the children… I would absolutely recommend Westminster Synagogue to other schools interested in an educational visit about Judaism, and a huge thank you to Anne for making it such a memorable experience for everyone!”
