Join us for an afternoon of learning in preparation for the High Holy Days, as we explore the theme of being at home with prayer. We will explore ways of becoming more fluent in our prayer practice, both in the synagogue and at home. Our afternoon will culminate in a chuliyot-style singing session in preparation for our Selichot service. Dinner will be served. 

Afternoon Schedule (subject to change):

• 2.30pm-3.00pm: Registration and Arrivals

• 3.00pm-4.15pm Two options: A deep dive into the High Holy Days liturgy with Rabbi Benji OR Back to basis: what is prayer? with Rabbi Kamila

• 4.30pm-5:45pm Two options: The practical & mystical significance of Tefillin with Yael Roberts OR The use of the Shofar in prayer with Rabbi Markus

• 6pm-7pm: Mincha service leading into chulyot style singing in preparation for Selichot with Yoav Oved

• 7pm-8pm: Dinner, with a short teaching

• 8pm-9pm: Selichot Service

This is a paid event, which includes lunch and breaks. However we would never want to exclude anyone due to financial grounds. Please contact Yael, in confidence, if you have any concerns.
