The role of a Meet and Greeter is simple: To be a warm face people connect with when they come into our building
Our aim is for all members and visitors alike to feel welcome and at ease in our building and in our services or classes, no matter what their reason for coming to us. It can often be daunting entering a building that you have never been to before (or don’t attend often), so we invite people to volunteer for this role and not to be shy in engaging with all who come through our doors.
If you are interested in volunteering for this role, please do email Julieta here. We plan to have a two month rota and will confirm dates with you and send more information in due course. In time, we will be building a Meet and Greeter Team so members can commit to one service every three months, the team would also come together a couple times a year to connect, learn and share our stories - do let us know if you'd like to be involved.
Meet and Greeters would be asked to arrive ahead of other members (around 9:45am or 6:00pm) and be in the vestibule to welcome and sometimes escort members and visitors upstairs.
Finally, if you'd like to Meet and Greet at some of our Synagogue Events on a more 'ad hoc' basis - click here to show interest!
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
