We are now bringing 'Westminster Voices' online, as we welcome speakers on a variety of topics. These would be opportunities for members of the community or guest speakers to speak for 15 minutes on a topic, followed by a 15 minute Q&A.

On Wednesday, 3rd June, we are excited to welcome member Amelia Walker, who will talk about Chance Encounters: Uncovering stories of the Kindertransport. 

In October 2019 I began the research for a cross-generational novel on the Kindertransport, mixing in modern immigration issues and family dilemmas. I started in the synagogue’s library with “Into the Arms of Strangers”. From there, through a series of chance encounters, I had the privilege to meet some of the Kinder and learn accounts of this unparalleled humanitarian effort. I‘ll be sharing some of these stories and how my research journey brought me to them.
