Virtual Voices: Dr Edie Friedman

Wednesday, 1 July, 2020 9 Tammuz 5780

1:00 PM - 1:30 PMZoom 3

We are now bringing 'Westminster Voices' online, as we welcome speakers on a variety of topics. These would be opportunities for members of the community or guest speakers to speak for 15 minutes on a topic, followed by a 15 minute Q&A.

On Wednesday 1st July, at 1:00pm we are thrilled to welcome Dr Edie Friedman, Executive Director of The Jewish Council for Racial Equality (JCORE), for a talk on The Disproportionate Impact of Covid-19 on BAME Communities.

Since 1976, JCORE has worked both inside and outside the Jewish community to provide a Jewish voice on Race and Asylum issues. They work to engage the Jewish Community in social action in the wider society, focussing on race equality and justice for refugees and asylum seekers. Their work draws on Jewish refugee experience, teaching and tradition of Jewish social activism.

Sorry, Registration has ended.
